Cascades

I went on only one nature hike this year, but it was a good one. It was my sixth visit to Cascades, the waterfall you can swim in, if you can stand the cold temperature. This year's hike seemed like a spiritual journey, coming like it did after a workshop on spiritual growth. It had a Place of Decision and a Place of Doubt (both of them wooden bridges), and finally, when I and the others persist, a georgeous waterfall. I got into my swimsuit and swam out into the water aways and stood under part of the falls. It may have been the Year of the Green Flower, but there were sure many purple and red flowers on this hike, including a purple stalk that seemed to challenge the trees with its beauty. From left to right and across, a group shot of those who went (trip 636), The Falls, the purple shoot, and a sea of purple flowers.
