Meals and Other Thunder

SUUSI thunders in ways other than workshops, Cabaret, Serendipity, and theme talks. Every meal is an adventure. In those crowded halls of D2, you could find someone new, or someone you know from a long time ago. You could even find a bunch of red-shirted men (SUUSIBoyz) singing the holy praises of coffee (upper left - click for video) to a bleary-eyed SUUSI audience. You could go out to Owens and spot some wildlife at SUUSI, such as this rabbit I found one day (lower left).

On Thursday night, I left D2 and talked to a few people for some time, and the time got away from us. I looked up in the sky and saw a banana moon hanging above D2 (lower right). A few women that I met wanted to get a picture of them with me, and I got a picture of one of them with SUUSI's resident leprechaun, Pete Leary. Shortly after that, it thundered and lightninged, symbolic of the thunder that was about to come to SUUSI in its remaining two days. We went to our dorm, and about an hour later, it opened up and poured outside. Fortunately, the storm went away before the nightlife began.
