Fire Dance!

Fire Dance! It seemed that I took on too much on Tuesday. First it was the Fun Run, a 1.5 mile run around Radford campus (upper left). I finished 19th over all, off from previous years, but I was one of only 3 runners over 60 who ran in that race. After ballroom dancing and Mike Recant, I went on the Falls of the Little River hike, which was a long hike over rugged trails (upper right), the final one of which was so steep and rocky that it was treacherous. We then arrived at the Falls (actually a rapids) and we took our turns in the water and sat on the rocks (lower left).

Then it was Serenpidity at night and the Fire Dance. The first two nights at Serendipity were incredibly slow, as was this night, when all of a sudden the Aliens came! A huge group of beings from the Planet Pluzz barged onto the dance floor, and instantly the whole place exploded! Everyone's inner flame was suddenly kindled, and people were dancing wildly all over the place, contradicting the song that was playing ("I don't feel like dancing"). I joined in this crowd for about six dances, including the one in the lower right (click to get a YouTube movie). It was my best dancing experience in all of SUUSI in 2009. But there is tomorrow...
