Memes

There was a five-day workshop on the works of Ken Wilber. I only attended the last day, but it was one of the best workshops I have attended in years. It was about his theory, which involved the hierarchy of colored "memes", as in this strip to the left. The memes (or color regions) from bottom to top are beige, survival; purple, magic; red, impulsive heroes; blue, fundamentalism; orange, rationality; green, environmental pluralism, yellow, integral; turquoise, theory of everything; and coral, culminating in the Oneness of everything, or "non-dual". That contradicts my Beyond theory which says there is something beyond everything, but then I realized that means you could go beyond "Beyond". The fundamental vs UU conflict is explained as blue vs orange, but there is now a conflict within UU churches between the "new spirituality" (green) and the old agnosticism (orange), one level higher. And even the high level of green can be unhealthy, something that is called "Boomeritis". It was one of the most interesting workshops that I have attended at SUUSI.
