Swinging and Singing

Nightlife at SUUSI consists of Cabaret, Serendipity, Cache, Common Ground, and Late Night. I went only to the first two but found good nightlife at both. Cabaret featured singers such as Amy Carol Webb and Stephanie Corby (top row), sometimes by themselves and sometimes part of a group such as Amy and the Voice Empowereds (lower right) singing "Born to Sing". Amy is a folk singer with such songs as "Born to Sing", reminding us of the Inner Singer in us all, while Stephanie sings bluesy songs such as "Fireworks in March". Serendipity is dancing from 10 to 1 in the morning, something like Clare Smith's Swing Dancing in the left but with more variety. This year featured a good mix of modern, 1960s, rap, and other types of music, as well as two impromptu La Bambas, one not even to a conga song. Yes, one can really say that SUUSI nightlife is Fireworks in March, or rather, SUUSI.
