Nightlife at SUUSI 2008 was a pilgrimage from the Dorm to the Bonnie. Once you get to this stopping point, you could dance the night away at Serendipity (top left). You could dance with your partner or with Bonnie or with just about anyone or everyone else. By Bonnie I mean a woman named Bonnie (I did dance with one once), not The Bonnie, although in a sense you are dancing with everyone else there; you are dancing with the building. There was also contra dancing, in which you swang with a number of different partners.

Cabaret was a little more crowded this year, but there was enough space for everyone. A number of performers came up on the stage to do their thing. I was one of these. On open mike on Sunday night, I presented the story of Tuscobuk, the brave who would not be snuckered in by the Man of the Prairies. This was one of my stories in Stories of the Sky, a workshop that I used to do but they would not let me give this year. If you enjoyed my Tuscobuk story and want to see Stories of the Sky in SUUSI 2009, email workshops@suusi.org . Other performers included Amy Carol Webb (bottom left) and Tret Fure and her gang, presenting a haunting number on Friday night. I had thought about signing up for that workshop but decided on Greg Greenway instead.
