There are lots of planned activities, but there can be spare time at SUUSI. The cafeteria is a good one. This year, we tried it without trays, hopefully reducing the amount of food that is wasted. That it did, but it also caused more traffic around the food areas, as people had to get up twice or three times to get all their food. At least we did not call it by a code letter such as D2; this year the D stood for Dalton. As usual, SUUSIBoyz sang "Coffee Coffee Coffee" (to the tune of "Holy Holy Holy") at the breakfast table.

Another unplanned activity is Community Time, which is like a carnival. People play music, such as Ron Edge on his harmonica (bottom left). People play games and a man uses a contraption to create giant bubbles (bottom right) for us which float as high as three stories. In the bottom right is an example where the bubble lasted a long time and entertained quite a few children before it burst.

Clicking on SUUSIBoyz or the Bubble will play YouTube videos of these events.

Monday night looked good for Stargazing, but then it didn't, when clouds arrive. But the clouds did produce a brilliant sunset, which I made surreal by pasting the foreground from an overly brightened picture over a background which has been darkened to increase the drama of the sunset (top right).
