Greg Greenway's was not the only workshop I took. I also took Storytelling from Sula Donnolo, which featured a story about a rabbit who found a creature in his house, as well as a hailstorm outside that briefly cut power to Radford University. This hailstorm was the worst hailstorm I have ever seen at SUUSI. It split SUUSI 2008 in half, pre- and post-hailstorm. Later, I took a picture of a tree (bottom left). I thought it was the same one I took in 1999 (bottom right) but evidently it is not. But in a workshop in 1999, Midlife Folk Tales, I was told to find something that symbolized my life story, and I chose this tree. I still would choose it, and not the Doubletree on the left. I also took Contra Dancing, which was a workshop, but I regard that as nightlife, and so you will find it there.

I gave two workshops, one on Mathematics and Religion, in which I show that mathematics suggests that you can always go beyond, and so therefore there cannot be an Ultimate Reality, and one on constructing polyhedra out of paper. Since the PhiZZ method of Thomas Hull was so popular last year, I tried it again this year. With more time available about 6 models were made, and one of these is in the upper left. This uses just about the same colors as one that was made last year.
